Do you remember birthday parties with traditional candles, non-helium filled balloons, and plastic party cups filled with tiny candies? If you do, then perhaps the treat bags at modern birthday parties for kids don’t seem quite as special as the brightly colored plastic cups filled with M & Ms and Tootsie Rolls.

Today’s party bags are filled with tiny toys and trinkets instead of overflowing with Tootsie Rolls, Bit O Honey, and Sweet Tarts that filled our self-standing plastic-basket party favors. Sometimes, the plastic baskets filled with gooey, chewy bits of flavor were more important than the cake itself!

We have all your favorite old time candy that will help when making up your party goody bags. Razzles Gum, Sugar Babies, Sugar Daddy Pops, Hot Dog Gum, Nik L Nips - wax bottles, Fun Dip or Jolly Rancher Sticks. Whether you are planning a child's birthday or looking for 50's party favors we can help.

You can even pick out a candy basket filled with fun favorites. Choose from a Retro Candy Basket, Sour Candy Basket, Vintage Candy Basket or a gift basket fill with gummy treats. When you think Nostalgic Candy think O'ryans Village.

Candy used to be a special treat that only made an appearance on birthdays, holidays, or special dinners. In the fifties and sixties, some households rarely had candy on a regular basis, which is why children always became so delighted when someone tossed a few pieces their way. Do you remember candy canes at Christmas, peanut butter kisses at Halloween, and chocolate bunnies at Easter? Candy used to be a special treat instead of a daily staple. Despite the fact that candy is available at any time for almost anyone, its sweetness and yummy flavor are just as tempting as ever!
